Frequently Asked Questions

Why do you ask for a deposit?

We ask for a 25% deposit when the order is placed to cover some of the cost of the materials we have to order and as a sign of good faith. All of our warbrobes are custom built and these materials cannot be used elsewhere as they are made to measure for your wardrobe so the deposit is non refundable.

How should I prepare the room?

We don’t reccomend fitting new wardrobes on top of existing carpets as over time the weight of the wardrobe will cause some settlement which may affect the finish, so we ask that carpets that aren’t going to be replaced are rolled back in the area where the wardrobe is to be fitted.
If you are going to redecorate then the area that will be inside the wardrobes is best done before the wardrobes are fitted as our wardrobes don’t have backs or sides as standard.
We ask that furniture is removed from the room prior to installation to give us as much room as possible to work in, we know this can sometimes be difficult and are happy to work with you on this.

Do you do any electrical work?

We install low voltage lighting which is plugged into a convenient mains socket but we don’t carry out any work to mains electrical installations such as moving sockets but can put you in touch with local qualified electricians.

Why don’t your wardrobes have backs or sides?

Simply to maximise the space available, backs and sides would seriously cut down the amount of room available and are usually not necessary as when the wardrobes are full you can’t see them anyway.
We can supply and fit backs and sides where there is plenty of room and the customer specifically wants them.

Do you guarantee your work?

Yes, we provide a six year guarantee on materials and workmanship, a copy is available on request.

Are you insured?

Yes in the unlikely event that we cause any damage to your property we are fully insured.

Do you remove all of your waste?

Yes, we hold a Waste Carriers Licence and will remove all waste material and clean up on completion.

How long will it take?

After the initial enquiry we will arrange a site visit to take measurements and discuss your needs so we can prepare a quotation, which you should receive within a couple of days, you can then think about it and make your decision in due course, without any pressure.
If you wish to proceed we will re-visit to take detailed measurements, show you samples, agree on finishes and make any alterations to the layout required by you.
After this we will order your materials and give you a date for installation, usually within 6 weeks.
The installation time for an average job is 2-3 days.

What will it cost?

There is no charge for the inital site visit and quotation, or for preparing further drawings and quotations should you require any alterations.
There is no minimum cost, as with some larger companies.
To give you some idea, the average cost for a fully fitted bespoke four door wardrobe with a chest of drawers is around £3,500.
